Actually... When you're buying the babies there's a much higher chance that something's going to go wrong... even worse, that something will go wrong and you won't even be able to tell since they take so long to show the symptoms. One day they'll seem to be perfectly fine and in great shape... The next day you can easily find them lifeless. The percentage of survivors from a clutch is normally low, and you don't have much of a way to see which ones will make it and which ones won't. That's generally why breeders wait longer to sell their animals, until the animal is well-developed...
Kate.

I'm going to print that post, save it, and stare at it for 30 minutes everyday until you come back Kate
Does anyone ELSE have an opinion about what it might be?
Specifically: Does it look like some kind of bacterial infection or fungus?

meow-question....when the spot went away, is there still remanents of it? I'm just asking cause my female panther has an area where the scales are interrupted and I have no idea how it got there. A breeder told me it looked like a healed burn mark.
Anyways, totally off topic, but i was just curious.

well i dunno how to explain it, you can see where the spot still is but better, and if you from a certain distance you wouldnt kno its there, but when you look close you can tell a spot was there.
