Makes you wish there were a snake owners dictionary! Especially for the Latin scientific names.

Never really gone out herping. I need and want to as it would be a new experience for me. Between work and volunteering it's hard to find the time. The Hoosier Herp club seems to have outings. I need to go sometime to see what it's like.

I pronounce it with the accent on the "zy"
het-er-oh-ZY-gus
Might not be correct, though
