The female super dwarf I kept here with me was the the larger of the two and is approx 8 feet in length. The female which I sent to Chris on breeding loan and was ultimately bred by the albino dwarf was slightly smaller in around 7 and 7.5 feet.
Both of the females are approx 6 years of age and raised from tiny wild caught hatchlings. All have been very well fed for the last 6 years and especially this past year leading up to the breeding season.
If you look at there ages and the feeding they have received they are true dwarfs and will not be getting much bigger.
The male super dwarfs are a hair over five feet and weigh only a few pounds. Not much bigger than a large cornsnake.
I put a tape on this girl Dan, and she is 6.5' in length, for 6 years old, that is amazingly small ! I was always a little leary of the size, retics obtain..but after working with these guys, thats no longer an issue. They are still beautifull animals just in a smaller package...i can't wait to see what comes from the het to het breeding.
