I'm using Netscape..... I tried the right click, save as... and the only option was to save as a text file.

Doh, I should have watched my wording. If you go back to the link I posted, right click on the link itself and try "Save link target as..."
That should do it. It will save the file as a binary, rather than saving the gibberish you'd get from clicking the linking and loading it into the browser.

I finally got it! I downloaded a program called Gr8 player and it works now.
That is either a really brave monkey or a really stupid one  I'm not sure which!
