k cool...mine likesto hide under the water dish and i provide a shell for it to go in and hide althought i try not to let it hide because i like to see it around but it does it anyways

Trying not to let it hide will kill it. It will become stressed out and will not find optimum living conditions such as escaping from heat and such. I would suggest placing more hides in the enclosure.
