Stunning :bounce:
Just curious how difficult it is to get Lampros across the border. Do you have to cross yourself to pick them up, or can they get through customs without you...? What about permits, etc...?

Will - there is no restriction or paperwork required to bring lampros into Canada - the problem comes with getting a US breeder willing to ship into Canada. For the most part it is easiest to get breeders in the US to ship to an American airport near the border and then go down and drive them back - and taking responsibility for getting all the US paperwork completed to take them out of the US - absolutely nothing to do as far as bringing them into Canada beyond paying the GST and duty on purchase price (that hurts!).

Mary,
He is amazing! What an addition to your family. He will make gorgeous babies. There are so many beautiful snakes out there, and so many of them live in your house! Take care!

holy mother of Darwin! that thing is a screamer.
Nice purchase Mary. I don't even want to know what it cost you. By the way there is no duty on wildlife, never has been... Just GST & PST, and shipping..in TO there is a terminal charge as well and of course exchange on the greenback butno duty..

Hey Roy,
Interesting point on the duty - I hadn't paid too much attention to what fees they add up when the customs guys go through things - guess that total is all GST - still hurts, especially when it is on the Canadian equivalent of the US price. Hate to have to pay Canada for goods or service recieved in another country!
