nice blood jwsporty....I'm glad you rescued him! I can't believe they were only feeding him a mouse a week! Sickening I tell you!
I'm sure he's in good hands now! Your set up looks luxrious. One suggestion...you could add a low but wide hide box so its snug around his body...they do like to burrow and this would simulate that environment.

Here's a little update on the new arrival. I have since moved him into a larger and more comfy tank, provided a fogger to maintain decent humidity, and he/she now has a decent belly full of rat. He is adjusting beautifully and is showing no signs of aggression. Think I got a good one!

Yve: That problem is no longer a problem That hide was there pretty much just to hold up the branch. But most of the time he just buried himself into the 4" of aspen. He is now on newspaper, with much lower hides.
