I honestly have no idea how big mine are. Soon as I find a measuring tape I will give it a go 'cause now I'm curious. They have grown a bit, but I still think they are gonna be miniature compared to everyone else. I'm very strong for my size though... people underestimate me. I used to work out at the gym a couple years ago but it only lasted a few months because my grandfather passed so I lost access to it, so I don't even count that. I have been doing 1 hour of pilates daily however for about 5 months, and still wasn't satisfied so in the past month I have included weights in to my daily workout as well as put myself on a high protein diet.

Why is it that a guy that works out is trying to compensate for something but a woman that works out" good for her", there are alot of people out there that make a very good living on their muscles. I think that you should be proud of your growth. My husband works out almost every day and is a personal trainer he is just about the smartest person i know that knows about that stuff.

There actually aren't too many people that make good money from muscles, personal trainers and pro wrestlers are the exception. Let's face it, people don't bulk up to make money, besides how big are Bill Gates biceps? If you can make money from being big I can respect that, it's the ego stroking that I laugh at. What is the average juice monkey trying to convince the rest of the world to think of him? That he's a tough guy? That's just funny. To start with tough guys are a dime a dozen and being big and tough alone will get you nowhere in life except maybe jail. Besides, it's not muscles that make someone dangerous with their hands, it's technique and aggression. I'd put money on 5'2" Jet Li against any no-neck havin, juice pumpin, heart attack case any day. Like I said before, you keep the big biceps, I'll keep the big pipe! LOL!

I totally agree. Know what's even funnier? Is that most of those guys just have "beach" muscles and they aren't even good athletes. I mean, have you ever tried to play hockey or volleyball with a guy who's freakishly muscle-bound? They suck. They are usually compensating for lack of talent. I played University and Junior football and single A baseball and 9 times out of 10, after the first week of training camp or spring training, all the dudes with weight-room bodies were gone. I mean, what's the point of getting huge if it doesn't even make you better athletically? Vanity? If that's the case, then that's just sad.

Looking good is one thing. For sure. I agree with that. But I can throw a football 55 yards. If having 25" arms doesn't make me throw it any further (actually, it will hinder my mechanics), then what is the point?

Muscles look cool, but that's about it.

Why do you think they are trying to prove anything to anyone? Is everything you do to try to prove something to someone else? Can one not do something for themselves? Of course some are trying to look a certain way for other people, or to try to "be tough", but there are also a lot who do it for themselves... a true passion... just like us and our snakes. My boyfriend is at the gym 5 days a week, and him and his gymrats don't do it for anyone but themselves... in fact some people I know of have even been left by their significant others because of their workout habits... I can also say the same about snakekeepers. I know I sure don't keep reptiles to prove anything to anyone. I think that was a very poor generalisation.

What's sad about wanting to look good? I personally hate most sports, but I work out because I like to have a 6 pack, I like to be stronger, I like to be fitter. I like the way it makes me look and I like the way it makes me feel.

ath·let·ic ( P ) Pronunciation Key (th-ltk)
adj.
1.Of or befitting athletics or athletes.
2.Characterized by or involving physical activity or exertion; active: an athletic lifestyle; an athletic child.
3.Physically strong and well-developed; muscular: an actor with an athletic build. See Synonyms at muscular.

Athletics is not all about running fast and the like. Athletics involves a variety of activities, any of which involve physical exertion. Iron Man Competition is indeed an athletic competition, it doesn't involve throwing a football or hitting a ball with a stick. Athletic nonetheless. A basketball player probably couldn't pull a truck or lift a fraction of what a bodybuilder can, in the same a bodybuilder most likely cannot jump or run the same as a basketball player... each is just as athletic, and each have their own merits.
