20’ burms are very rare. I know of at least one reptile museum actively seeking a 20’ specimen and can not find one. 8 feet in the first year is not uncommon. I have seen plenty top 10 in a year. I have two adult males. One imported in 1990. He is 14’ and one captive born in 1998, he is 17’. The father to my CB was 18’ and hands down the largest male I have seen. Snakemann, baby is dead!

Trust me man 10 feet dont sound big on paper but in real life once yours actualy reaches that you start asking your self how you got it that big. Then you start praying to the snake gods that it don't add another 5 feet. but you will love it trust me they are verry rewarding animals once they are big and in a larg cage they makes somthing to look at and be proud of.

considering burms are 18-24" @ birth i think it is more accurate to say it should be at least 4-5' by the end of the first year, and as many in here have said it is common for burms to hit 10' in their first year. So i would not worry about over feeding. IMOover feeding happens more in older snakes that are less active and have slowed in growth therefore do not need the food energy that a young fast growing active snake needs.
It sounds to me you have a well fed healthy burmese.
