Hi Alex. Saskatoon? What's with all the BC people going to Saskatchawan? We did a little experiment with freezing were we blended up different kinds of fruits in one veggies in another and froze them in ice cube trays. It was very successful. We took out a few cubes at a time thawed them and fed them to the various turtles and tortoises. They all ate them. It was Julie's recipe so if you would like I will get her to give you the details.

Personally I don't put much stock in commercial diets. Just my opinion. But I don't see why not as a supplement in their diet. But I would never feed it as a staple in their diet. TB

Oh and Alex just cause you moved half way across the country don't forget about me when you finally breed those Japanese Rats! I know......one track mind!

I have a good reason: I'm doing vet med. I dunno why the other ones wanted to come out here. I'm leaving the second they let me prescribe drugs. I've been going a bit nuts out here, ask Katt what I did...

I'm glad the tortoises all ate them, can Julie PM or post her recipie here? I definately need it in this herpetocultural desert.

I don't really like commercial diets either. The only one I will regularly use is trout chow, and that one's murder on the filters.

I've got new pics of my climacophora babies... they're shedding and growing like mad. The female will definately be bluer than the male, but he's getting a green belly. Weird little snakes, slashed the bejeezus out of my arm the other day. Honestly, a 2 foot female did the same damage as my arm being attacked and constricted by an adult black ratsnake.

BTW, glad your guys house isn't burnt up I drove through much of that coming out, and it was pretty unpleasant.
