I just got to this thread. I'm glad you found Huxley! It is good that you put a lock on the sliding door but will that help? If the door was completely closed after he escaped that is not where the problem lies. Make sure you find how he got out because it will take him much less time to get out again!

thanks guys. I gave the cage a hard run-down, and I have yet to figure out how he escaped in the first place. there's no holes in the screen, and the top is secure. ah well...hopefully the lock will solve the problem.

Yeah, I used to not lock the top screen for my Rosy (i was a new parent but I learned my lesson).

My room was a sty (as usual) and I frantically went through all of the clothes and things that I had on the floor. I eventually found him in a box of old bills under my bed.

He got out because I had only pinned one side of the screen top. Now I always make sure that it's very secure.

I'm glad to hear that you found him lilyskip. I know I was extremely relieved when Invictus found our awol Kenyan curled up beside his guitar in the basement.

geez, a snake going missing just has a way of flashing grisly images of lost snakes through your mind all day, ya know? Maybe that's just because I'm neurotic. It's so crazy where they end up turning up, though.

mark, I really hope you find yours! keep us posted.
