I have had stuff shipped point to point within the US with Airborne Express, UPS, FEDEX, and USPS. The POLICIES vary from company to company, and especially depending upon which service rep. you happen to get on the phone. Look up a copy of their rules yourself on the web to find the truth! The only LEGAL issue with these four options in the US is that you can't ship snakes via USPS. Lizards and turtles are allowed.
In Canada, however, you can't use Canada Post for any herp, and couriers (UPS, FEDEX, etc.) are not legally allowed to take live animals, with the exception of small private couriers who are driving the animals around (not sending them on a cargo plane). This makes shipping them in Canada very expensive!
