I just work out deals with the breeders. Let them know what they are for and buy thier surplus babies. Ended up with some neat looking colors.

I actually ended up running out of corns and couldn't get any for the coral so I ended paying $5 a piece for some African House Snakes. But I like to let them know what they are for. Many breeders don't want thier snakes used for that purpose and I respect that request.

Country:
Get this: when I was in Kentucky I stayed a few days at a venom lab where they had freezer bags full of baby leopard geckos (normal phases that had been donated by a breeder - nobody will buy them). There were over 500 frozen baby leopard geckos. Plus, they have dozens of frozen baby albino burmese pythons (sell for $150-200 CDN here) in the freezer as well for some of the larger ophidiophages.
It's hard to believe but these are akin to the rodent-filled freezers we are all used to. It blew my mind at first too but I realize it is really just a food-stuff and is valuable in that sense.
Cheers,
RMB
