as luck would have it your ferrets use it as a sleeping area? LOL I would watch out for that. I have tried over the last year to try and train my ferret not to be destructive but its in thier nature and way of "playing" to burrow. I wouldnt call it luck i would call it a possible curse. Hope they dont do damage but i would watch them very close when around your expensive couch. Good luck with that.
