Re: Freaky women

I think the more relevant question is how did these become endangered? For many song bird species a large part of the answer is domestic cats, so as more irresponsible owners let their cats roam free more species will become endangered. I will not indulge asinine statements such as I know my cat and cats always leave evidence for a owner to see.

Re: Freaky women

Asinine???? Asinine is your assumption that I don't know what I'm talking about and you do.

You care to pony up any proof that irresponsible domesticated cats are responsible for driving ANY BIRD SPECIES ANYWHERE to endangered???

Perhaps you should table your ASSumptions, and do a little research. Habitat destruction and humans are the main causes of species being endangered.

The passenger pigeon was not put into extinction by house cats.

Re: Freaky women

A passenger pigeon is not a song bird, and yes there are many reasons animals are becoming endangered. This by no uncertain terms means we should ignore an easily avoidable solution to one of these pressures. Your statements were silly and didn't deserve a response. A little light reading for you, it is pretty well known problem.

Re: Freaky women

To be fair....I DID say anywhere, but...REALLY??? Islands? I don't live on a frigging island....not physically or mentally.

Soooo...doesn't it still come down to MAN'S interference, moreso than the cats? We weren't talking about releasing feral cats on islands....just letting a native outdoor cat run around in its backyard.

And trust me...the only endangered species of birds in my area are bald eagles. My cat is not stupid enough to try to take one down!

You insult both my intelligence and MY CAT'S ...he likes to eat doves, which have populations in the millions. He's also smart enough to just steal cat food, than hunt birds. Not surprisingly, you chose to focus on what ISN'T going to happen. I said I was going to keep my OUTDOOR cat indoors...but you carry on.

Good day, sir...get a life.

Re: Freaky women

To quote the Texas parks and wildlife "Examples of federally listed species in north Texas are the black-capped vireo, golden-cheeked warbler, and the Texas poppy mallow." Maybe you are not as aware as you believe and have no idea what can happen. Also only one of those articles had to do with an island. I suggest you read deeper into the implications of said articles than just the title.

Re: Freaky women

I hardly think the one not throwing the tantrum is a "weanie". Using facts and reason do not make me judgemental. Honestly if you were mature enough to admit you were wrong, this would have been an entirely different conversation.

Re: Freaky women

OK...I asked you to stop . This thread was not about cats.Perhaps you're jealous because you are one, but not a TOM CAT!!!

I could look up the ranges of those birds ( If I gave a hoot hoot hoot...) but I know what is in my backyard. Again, I already said I was going to keep my cat inside, so... who's the one with the problem here?

Can you read? I SAID^ "YOU'RE RIGHT!" But that wasn't good enough for you.

MATURE??? I'm not only much older than you, but much more mature.

Again, have a nice day, go away, get a life.

Re: Freaky women

Asking me to stop and admitting you were wrong are hard to take seriously when you are at the same time flinging insults and telling me you know better. I think you make it quite clear maturity does not come with age. If you want me to stop, I recommend you stop trying to give orders and be reasonable. For the record I would never describe myself as Tom cat or any felid for that matter.

Re: Freaky women

How about you both cut it out and end this or take it to PM. I will not hesitate to close this thread if just one more post occurs between the two of you about this. The discussion has become personal, unfriendly and completely sidetracked. All done, guys.

Re: Freaky women

The other mods did a good job.

However I don't think this thread needs to continue to exist.
