Most of my snakes (especially my retics )are quite fanatic during feeding time and do that all the time, end up getting a mouthful of dirt.. First time it ever happened to me years ago I also tried to help the snake getting it out. Now I don't, eventually they will find the water themselves and rinse it out or it will go down once they start eating. Never had any issues
