Re: New Baby Burmese Python
Beautiful. Always loved their markings. I wish there was a variety that stayed that smallish! I'm not cut out for keeping giant snakes.

There's dwarf burms, but they tend to have an attitude problem

I have heard this as well. I have also heard about the possibility of breeding out the "little man syndrome", but I cannot comment on how practical it is.
I would hope it is true so I can have a small hypo myself.

Re: New Baby Burmese Python
Oddly enough with burmese when you breed a male dwarf to a female normal giant the resulting babies are nearly identical e in size to the dwarf Burms and have that laid back captive bred for 50 years disposition.

Re: New Baby Burmese Python
The only two dwarf burms I had dealings with were 100% dwarf wild type/normals that had just traveled the whole way from the Hamm show in Germany to N.Ireland. They were still pretty warm but even when we heated them up they were still nice and calm and easily handled. The last I heard the guy ordered them said their temperament had remained the same. I'm not saying all dwarfs are like this I'm just saying it may be down to the individual snake
