Re: Who called it?
Male BCI average 5 - 6 feet. Could be bigger or could be smaller. It's an average.
Pet peeve of mine is when breeders say "MAX length" at a certain size when it's impossible to say for sure. Also on the account snakes grow for their entire life. At a point it just slows immensely but they still grow.
Anyway, neat looking snake Logan.

Re: Who called it?
Thanks for the info Aaron! And that does make sense on the 'max' size. I doubt I'd notice a few extra inches anyway. =)

Re: Who called it?
Wow, Mink, he's gorgeous! So clean! The boas I've seen in my price range always tend to be super freckled. Treasure is definitely a suitable name

Re: Who called it?
I'm sure that locality plays a part as well as if its BCC or BCI. Not sure what he is, but don't really care much either. I will hardly be able to tell the difference if he's 6 foot in 8 years.
My 1st project when I get the house is to build a custom enclosure that's 6 feet long anyway. So he will have plenty of room to grow. =)

Yeah, for sure! My first BCI grew rather fast (I was unknowingly feeding him more than I should have), and once he hit 5.5' I had a bit of problems moving him around, but after a few months I can now move him with one hand like he was a pile of leaves. haha I'm sure a nice, properly slow-grown boa won't catch you by surprise like that.
Good plan! It's always good to provide snakes more than the minimum, within reason of your abilities of course.

I suspect it's both -- parental credit where credit is due!
