Get a juvenile boa, and tell your mom its a "dwarf boa." By the time your white lie is unveiled, you'll be long gone.

PS: I realize that was an old post, but I just had to make that comment.

And ManSlaughter, that is nice looking boa!

Re: Grown since January

Oh I've thought of that, but she's not stupid. She researches them before she approves anything. I might be able to get one next year, maybe year after that depending. I'm moving out of state for college to be with rarely-seen family, and a boa will definitely be with me before 2018 I'm hoping. I'm always saying "the next one will be the last for a while", and it works until I get on this site and start looking at what others have. I don't think there's a single snake I don't want to have, it's just how much I want it and what I can take care of at any given time, although a boa has definitely been on my need list for a few years.

Makes perfect sense, and kudos to you for being patient!

Re: Grown since January

Yeah, it's kinda just how I do things though. It's taken me three years to get the king snake I'm planning on getting here in March. I've already got everything, just gotta build the stand and that's something I'm gonna have to twist my arm to do. Hopefully though it won't take me three years this time, and if it happens you all will know.
