Way too much fuss about being hit by a snake. If it's not a hot or a cross town bus, I generally don't worry too much. I've stopped counting.

Stupid Feeding Error? hehehe

If you think it's too much fuss, Gary, don't post a reply. I simply wanted to tell about my first bite experience, as do others. Don't be a poor sport and ruin our fun just because you've been bitten more times for whatever reasons and are used to it.

monitor bites are way worse than any bird bite........ I was bitten by a 5 foot varanus albigularis...... It shattered the 2nd joint in my pionter finger........ Half of my finger was almost off my hand..... This is mainly why I do not keep varanids anymore...... I would rather take my chances with hot snakes.... LOL

My tree python has terrible aim so I dreed the day he gets my hand. I agree with Lisa a ball python bite barely breaks the skin.

Wait til you get tagged by a six foot Emerald tree boa! Now that's a bite that won't stop bleeding for awhile. Also ain't too fun pulling those fangs out of your flesh but I do agree, a large Monitor is worst! Don't want to even think of Croc's bite

Eek! Yeah I can honestly say I'll take a snake bite over a parrot any day! Those buggers go right to the bone (some can even snap your finger right off ). Big birds make me nervous, you can avoid reptile bites usually with careful handling, not birds though

I wasn't meaning to offend, but I can see how I came across a jerk. My appologies.

My statement was meant generally. Lots of people, including keepers far more experienced than myself make a big deal about it. I have even had a person ask me if they could use one of my more agressive animals to film them getting hit. It's happened to me enough times I don't even worry about it any more. That was all I meant.

Now that you've been iniated, your ready for the wonderful world of wildcaughts and amazons.

Cheers
Gary D.

Welcome to the club i've been bit by many garters lmao suprised they have lasted this long in the wild with there bite. I've been bit by a texas rat my bp(my mistake). and twice by my 4ft boa once on the neck the second on the lips one after another lmao it was really cool and suprisingly it didn't hurt at all.
