I've used a few different sizes of Sterilite and Rubbermaid tubs good results. If I'm at all worried about security I run a strap or two around it just to be sure. Haven't had an escapee yet.

I saw them at Walmart.
These things are amazing. I kept a king in one a while back. Love them to death, very secure.

I agree. Im using one of these tubs right now and it's great. The foam ring inside the lid makes them a lot more secure. No worrying about a little snake getting wedged under the lid.

Re: Best tubs to use

Just wanna add that iris also makes some air tight tubs with clips on the sides and they sell them at lowes if you cant find the right ones at walmart. I was looking for the ziplock ones and they were hard for me to find but the iris ones are the same size and just as good if not better, i have both of my carpet pythons hanging out in them at the moment.

That's a great looking tub revent. It looks very secure too. I'd love for mine to look that nice . Where did you find your perches and how did you mount them? Thanks a lot for sharing.

Re: Best tubs to use

Actually I got some wooden dowels from home depot and some closet rod holders and just screwed em in with a screw and post that I got from work the shelf is just some scrap plywood with a couple of wood screws in the sides of the tub to hold it on. I don't actually clamp the side locks since it's so sturdy I would be totally shocked if mars cold make the lid budge.
