Re: Suriname Red Tail Boa - Suddenly aggressive
I would definitly say hunger is an issue. I feed my 1 year boa small rats, about to move on to medium. My boa had the same issue with not eating rats, I just rubbed the rats in some mice bedding (my friend has a bunch of mice) and she took it right away, did that 3 feedings in a row and she's been taking rats ever since. I will also pass on some advice that someone recently gave me (My boa just bit me for the first time last month), snakes have moods just like people, she may just need some space. My boa doesn't do well with too much handling, stresses her out. So I only handle twice a week and that's usually just for cleanings.
