It's the lyrics that get me. If I can relate, I find a song fantastic.
My mode of preference would most definitely have to be rock, be it "nu metal" or the like, I love it. I don't care much for rock. I won't knock it though. If you like to hear a guy w/ absolutely no talent, talk throughout a "song" produced by a mere mixing machine or PC, rap is fantastic.
I'm in to ******** stuff, such as Disturbed, Taproot, Unloco, Chevelle, Blindside, The Used, My Chemical Romance, Trapt, Adema, Sevendust, Cold, Static X, Otep, Coal Chamber, Nine Inch Nails. Crap like that.
LATER kiddies.

DUH *don't care much for RAP is what I meant to type. Obviously it's past my bed-time and I'm experiencing difficulty typing.

With me it must be the music and not the words as I can't understand most of them because they're in Acadian French! I love Cajun music, it reminds me of people getting together, dancing and having a good time! What could be better!

I tend to listen to Jazz/R&B funk...ie Tower of Power, Herbie Hancock, Sinatra, etc. I majored in voice so if there is a vocal line, that's usually what drives me. Otherwise, with jazz it's usually whoever's got the solo that's got my attention.

I like rock and metal. But the song has to have a good beat and singer. I hate a song that has a good beat and the singer murders it.

Gino, perhaps to you "rock and metal" may all sound alike... But... To myself, all dance, "hip hop", rap, and various techno/trance/house songs all sound identical and I wouldn't be able to differentiate should my life depend on it... LOL this is why everyone is unique It's all in the perception. You keep up the "bounce" or whatever, and we'll rock it up. lol
LATER dude.
