Re: male CRB possibility?

I thought the first sentence was pretty general. I used crb so I didn't have to type"do I like this species enough to own multiples?"

Re: male CRB possibility?

I would put it this way.

You are currently bringing in a new species from Ben Siegel and maybe others on the shipment. Do you have the necessary room to be adding anymore animals to quarantine for the next 90 days? Since we all know that is the average time quarantine lasts.

Re: male CRB possibility?

I already stated I wasn't getting it...pretty much knew I wouldn't, but my friend wants it, so I posted for opinions...

I can speak in generalities on the situation you started the thread in. It's a train of thought we all need to develop to ask all the pertinent questions of ourselves before bringing in new animals.

For your friend, it's up to them on if they feel it's a fair deal. As I said in another thread and what Kevin has been trying to talk about here (I think).

Is this animal what your friend wants? Is the animal going to make them happy or just getting a deal on an animal that's "worth" more? (possibly flipping it) If this is exactly what they want then what does the price matter if they are comfortable with it? Will they be upset 10 years from now that they paid $50 for 10 years of happiness?

Re: male CRB possibility?

She definitely wants a crb...but she is contemplating whether to get this one or a baby one...I told her I would get opinions and get back to her...this one is pretty local to us, and I haven't seen any breeders for them anywhere close to us so she would have to have 1 shipped and pay for that also...

my thoughts exactly...most of mine have been quite well established...juvies or young adults...(my corns were my only babies)...I prefer older animals, myself...

Re: male CRB possibility?

LOL! Rainbow babies do tend to love fingers. I spend lots of time with each baby so that it's past that stage by the time it reaches public hands.....
