Yeah, all of my mature OBTs made extensive web burrows they stayed in almost exclusively. I've had youngsters be all over the map.. Burrowing, staying out in the open, webbing, etc lol This particular youngster is out quite a bit!

Thats a good question haha i think a type of normal rose but scott ( the guy i got it from) says its a soloman or something like that, a bit diffrent from a rose hair i guess?. He sent me a pic of the mother and she looks pretty nice :P

She IS pretty! I haven't kept up with all the changes in Grammastolas in recent years, but it's a great genus. Roseas are very long lived and slow growers, so you'll be enjoying that little guy for quite some time!

looks like a red phase rose hair to me. still considered the same species I believe.

Don't know what a "soloman " is supposed to be. If he said "salmon pink" then your T would most likely be Lasiodora parahybana. But the picture he sent appears to be a red phase Chilean Rose (Grammostola rosea). Which is, indeed, the same species as any other Chilean Rose -- just a different "morph" as would be said in the herp trade. A good starter T as they are typically very cheap -- often $5-8 for a sling -- and are quite durable. Some of the red phase rosea are quite stunning.

I can't imagine raising one from a sling. man do they grow slowly.

It's really not that bad as I recall -- at the sling stage they grow fairly fast. It's as they hit the juvenile stage that they start to slow down.

I dunno. I got a tiny G. pulchripes a year ago and it has only molted twice and is probably under 1/4" still. I have a G. Rosea I got as an adult, but I hear they grow even more slowly.

The only way I got my Grammastolas to grow "fast" (for them) was really high temperatures - 85-90F. Kept at room temperature, they are molasses slow lol

Hmm, that could be why mine (at least, if I'm recalling correctly) grew fairly quick as a wee one. The room I had it in was definitely in that upper range over the summer, and she ate like a pig.
As an adult they grow even more slowly -- assuming you have a female. My girl went 5yrs between molts this last time around.
