Congrats Chris..

For others who don't realize it .. the fact that half to 66% of them are not albinos means that not only his large female was sold as a "fake" het but that he loses over 15 000$ because there not albino's..

Sorry u did not get any albino's but congrats on the litter!

Take care
Dom

I find when people say it like Tightsqueeze does it is confusing to me as well. But what they mean is you are 100% certain they are all hets because you bred with an albino. If you didn't then you would only be able to tell by breading the offspring.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong...because either a snake IS het for albino, is not het for albino (normal), or it IS albino. So that's the only thing 100% could mean is that your are certain as opposed to someone that bred two hets and wouldn't know which ones are normal and which offspring are hets. In which case I believe it would be a 66% chance of the non-albino offspring being hets.

Worst case is that if in fact she was a normal boa,ALL the offspring should be 100% het for albino..if she was in fact 100% het then half the liter should have been albino, and half normal looking..all those being normal in apearence 100% het.
So ..lets say she was just a common boa..all the babies would be 100% het for albino seeing how she was bred by an albino male.
I'm happy as can be with the babies..but i just wish people would properly represent the animals they are selling..it is becoming far to common place for people selling animals for what they are not...when you pay good money for a het!..you should in my opinion get a het!

I agree...and remember. There is really no such thing as 100% het...either you're het for albino or you aren't.
