30 minutes of research or a couple minutes for a reply..
How do you know they are right if you don't do your own research

Re: Should I sex my snake?

I could get a caresheet with everything you need to know about husbandry and breeding in 5 minutes and you could read it in 10.

Was referring to the 'same with just about anything I need to know' but could refer to all of it actually. I'd like to see someone become well acquainted with breeding of reptiles in 30 minutes, or even husbandry while we are on the subject. Part of the 'basics of husbandry' is learning signals your snake is telling you that hes not happy, sick, etc. etc.

Care sheets tell you the do's, alot of times they don't tell you the don'ts. There are alot of things you learn with time, experience, trial and error, and stupid mistakes that a 30 minute caresheet won't cover.

Not only that but it would take longer than 30 minutes to look at other caresheets and articles to make sure they don't contradict eachother, in which case they do, you've got a problem and need to do even more research.

1. I didn't say I'd learn about breeding in 30 minutes. 2. I can learn a lot about husbandry in 30 minutes. Maybe not everything, but I'd find some useful stuff in that time.

Was referring to Amadeus's comment about breeding, not your comment. Although your comment was equally ....nvm.

The point here is I don't care if you can read the dictionary in 10 minutes, you won't be any kind of expert or even know the basics until you've coupled your reading with experience.

Re: Should I sex my snake?

Anyways... I am not saying I am going to be a snake expert in 30 minutes... I am saying I can learn enough of the basics to get a snake set up in 30, and then focus on all other stuff.

This is what was said. I agree that you can probably learn what you need to set up your snake in 30 minutes, but thats not what was said. Time to bust out the dictionary

hus·band·ry
/ˈhəzbəndrē/
Noun
The care, cultivation, and breeding of crops and animals.

So its not only the setup bro. Anyways, I get what you meant and no need to start another flame war on this thread. Just keep reading and don't try any experimental husbandry ideas and he will be fine.

how many words a minute? If you go too fast you might miss some things. It's better to take thing slows and really take it in, instead of rushing.

I'm not 100%. Yesterday, I read about 30 pages of one of my books in about 10 minutes. And you actually learn more when you speed read. I've taught myself to skip the unneeded words like 'the', 'and', etc. It makes sense I write like this. you get information, but quicker... Your brain has a harder time focusing at a slower pace, because of the way your eyes jump instead of slowly gliding, how you might think it does before focusing on it, and you think about the words previously/currently being read too much. You obtain more when you speed read... It's all scientific, but I won't I get into all that here. Also, I have eidetic memory so I can remember anything I see/read for a while longer than most people. Again... Not getting into all this lol

I have a pretty epic memory, I don't know what its called though hahaha. Anyways, this thread got way off topic.

Moral of the Story: don't rush into learning everything at once, it will come with time.

Are you referring to an eidetic memory? and I know. I am not rushing. I am going at the pace I am comfortable with and I will consult with the people here before tying anything new. As you said... You learn more from time, and experience, than reading online.. And most of you guys have put a lot more time, and have a lot more experience than I do.
