Does she enjoy collecting anything you can use against her?(nice shoes, bags..etc) I don't mean to plot against her but it could certainly help your argument!

Get stuff that can be housed together, maybe a bit easier convincing wise. My problem is spending money, my wife has no issues with reptiles and they are growing on her, but when they cost alot of money, its a different situation :P

Or wait till you find one who doesn't need convincing. Theres a certain level of excitement when you have to do convincing for something and you finally get it in the end, not just with reptiles or wives, just in general.

By far the easiest and best solution out there.
Winning the lottery and being able to build your own snake room/house sadly takes a bit more luck and money. But then, if you don't have the wife, you'll already be saving some of the money stuff.
