Yes, it's down to the person's honesty. These aren't serious contests, there is no "prize" per se, so there shouldn't be a need to be dishonest. Lets just have fun with it

Re: November Photo Contest
I can tell... There are ways. Just not on the computer I'm on right now.
Wayne, I would like to offer my services to turn each month's winning picture into the banner for the site provided the winner is agreeable to that.
I'll be submitting something again this month, just gotta figure out with which snake now.

Re: November photo contest discussion
really? One of the other forums I'm on that uses vBulletin is running older software and can do it.
Well when it happens let me know, I would be willing to do it.
Alessia, yours would be perfect for a banner.

Depends on how it's edited.
Original:
Some mild contrast etc changes:
Some serious manual color enhancements: Don't know if i would ever guess this was edited if i didn't see the original...
Aaaaand, some manual color, contrast, focused blur, white stripe is enhanced... yet if you didn't see the orignal could you tell this 1 mintute editing was done to it??? Probably... Maybe.. if you were looking for it. But it could be a really nice, colorful photo. lol

Re: November photo contest discussion
redsided, it does become evident with your example because the white stripe gains a glow the second you edit it.

Then again, I've been doing this for a few years, and I used to do it for some of my classes so I've got a better eye than most (yay Architecture/Graphic Design)
