For the most part I would say no,but if a feeding is late he sometimes takes a nip of a fin.
The large goldfish in the tank with him was meant to be food..that was over two years ago.
Best of buddies along as the goldfish doesn't try and steal his food.
There are three plecos in the tank as well.

I had an mbu puffer he'd go crazy on crawfish. What a great fish you've got there! Very cool.

we have a porcupine puffer who is as greedy as possible, and by the way i see that one pressing it's face against the glass, looks like they have that in common *lol* he will flop on top of the water and SPIT water at us when it's dinner time. and believe me he's not starving! lol

He will eat crayfish,but they are not his fav thing..that would be prawns!
Yes,they have really unique teeth..my guy goes through clam shells like nothing..we're talking thick shelled good size clams
