Re: The "Bite Club" thread
It's a dwarf for a retic ![Smilie](http://www.ssnakess.com/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)
But certainly not a dwarf in regards to snakes.

Re: The "Bite Club" thread
Dwarf retics average 12-13 feet for males, 15-16 feet for females. Super dwarf retics stay 6-8 feet.
A regular retic can and most often will top 18+ feet long in captivity.

a bit less usually for males usually from what I've seen. Anymore there's so much mainland dna mixed in it gets muddled, pure dwarfs usually top out around 12 for males and 16 for females. Mainlands... well they're another story. Males hit 16 and females will be 18-20 without much effort.

Re: The "Bite Club" thread
bella is 4 years old, so she will not be getting to much longer in length, a few months ago she has started fattening vrs lengthening, her mother was 14 feet, the father was a large 9, if i remeber right. herny piorun had realy good lines of dwarfs and super dwarfs. My guess she will hit the 14 feet in the next 20 years or so like her mother. either way, she is so calm and gentle when not in feed mode, i would have no problem with her gettng larger, but life will be much easier if she stays on the smaller size.

Re: The "Bite Club" thread
I got bit 5 times Friday. Four were from my friend's kingsnake and 1 was from her baby retic. Only the retic drew blood and only a little bit at that. We're going to handle her a lot to make sure she's used to it while she's still a pup.

Re: The "Bite Club" thread
We have a routine with the retic, i put my clenched fist up to him, he tastes me with his tongue and then i pull him out, this time it didnt work purely cos it tied in with his expectation of feed day, i have a hook for my JCP but may start using it for the retic too as it has left a pretty large bruise!!
