Re: What are your snakes doing RIGHT NOW?
Heres one more of Euryale being out and about getting some handling time in. Since we picked her up last fall at the Des Moines Reptile Show, she has really tamed down nicely. Right now, she is just chillin on my shoulders.

Re: What are your snakes doing RIGHT NOW?
Nero and Tubs are REALLY blue, both of em. I've never seen Tubs look as healthy as he does right now in shed. Roxy just shed yesterday, pictures this evening. The Dwarf Burm girl is calming down nicely, she's still pretty jumpy but should be ok with a picture session tonight.

Re: What are your snakes doing RIGHT NOW?
Let's see, my Royal, BRB, and my Normal Female Kenyan are all either deep in shed, or just entering their shed cycle, so they are all in hiding at the moment. My Gray Banded King is chilling out near his hot spot hide, and the babies are all underneath their substrate.

Re: What are your snakes doing RIGHT NOW?
Kaybe just came out for a quick drink (and that's just a small piece of reptibark that he dragged in there)
and then he went back to relaxing as his usual self
Pika was hiding in his cool hide....
and then decided it was time to go to the warm hide!

nice pics!
does kaybe have two different substrates (aspen on one side and repti bark on the other)? what does this accomplish?

Haha it does look like that in those pics, doesn't it? It's actually a mix of both. There just happens to be more aspen in that one spot. I mix them because the ReptiBark helps with keeping humidity up, and the aspen is easier for Kaybe to burrow through which he loves doing. When I had aspen only the humidity was too low, but when I had ReptiBark alone, Kaybe (for whatever reason) wouldn't burrow. With a mix, it's a win-win situation. It's also what he's been used to for the past 2yrs, and Kaybe hates change At home in Miami I have the new Boaphile cages set up waiting for them, and they'll both have only ReptiBark. We'll see how he likes it

Right now I'm watching my hog nose do what hog noses do best: burrow.

ugh i'd like to do that for my ball python (Spot is fine on just aspen) but I feed in their encloses, and I feed soaking wet prey. I wouldn't want my ball ingesting any of that reptibark - the humidity would be nice for him though

I feed my prey completely soaking wet too. Just offer it on a plate inside the enclosure. That way no substrate is ingested, and you can reap the humidity benefits of ReptiBark!
