well you'll pay less, better?? I'm not so sure!! I've been waiting 3 weeks (and another 3 to go) for a test just to determine what medicine to put me on to control my symptoms.

I have been waiting 2 weeks (and another 3 to go) for a specialist appointment when my condition could be cancerous. So we have a cheap to the public medical care system, but due to the # of resources and dr's/nurses, it's not a fast system

I pay a lot here and Damm that sucks 200 bucks a month and I got ok health insuraence but 3 weeks is a long time to be waiting and for something pretty important to

Well we pay about that for our family of three, then a little extra for extended health coverage through hubby's work. basic medical out here only covers the absolute basics, you know "don't fix the tooth, pull it" sort of thing. So even here in Canada, having extended health coverage is a really good thing to have.

And yes the wait sucks, (it's actually a total of 5 and 6 weeks perspectively, just 3 more to go) But it's less that it could be cancerous (yes that is worrisome, but my dr has assured me that tests show if it is cancer, it is early stage 1 and easily treated and the battle won 99% of the time.)

What is really frusterating is that I have to sit here dealing with multiple, uncomfortable and sometimes dibiltating symptoms until they "decide" how to treat my condition.

I am ususally an active person, very rarely sitting around for any length of a time. Since this all started when the symptoms started in early september, the couch and computer has become my best friend. It's driving me up the wall to never have the energy for what I want or should do. I can't wait till this is all over!!

Yea when I tore my acl in foot ball in highschool I was on the couch for over a year and it did suck watch what ya ear tho lol I gain like 40 pounds that year

that wouldn't be too bad!! my problem is hyper-thyriodism, coupled with growths on my thyroid. So basically my whole system is in hyper-drive 24/7.

I have to eat a high fat, high protien diet (while keeping iodine levels low) just to stay at a whopping 105lbs

Damm its so easy for me to gain weight lol I can eat so little and gain like 5 pounds I'm at 6 foot and weigh 225 but in high school I weigh 250 but it was all muscle now I got fat lol

My brother is like that, he is 6'5", and as an older teen and young adult he was about 225 and could stop a train by holding out his hand (super-man style!!) now, he's got a beer gut!! I told him that stuff would be the ruin of him!

Same here well I don't got a big gut but do have a small one tho 225 is kinda a little to skiny tho for a 6'5" guy my dad nearly 6'10" and he weigh like 280 in high school and now has a huge beer got lol I mean huge

he was lanky but strong, he didn't fully fill out till he was in his mid-late 20's, now at almost 40, he's got a gut, I wouldn't say huge but definately noticable!! My dad was only 5'11" and he was 350lbs when he died, and it was ALL gut!! his lgs, arms and chest were all muscle, then this HUGE gut!! He was a drinker too

yea my dad a drinker to lol he loves it but I'm the short one lol even my mother is taller than me she's almost 6'2"

at 5'4", I'm the short one in my family too. I blame my mom, she smoked during pregnancy with me, but not my brother. She answers back with, "do you really want to be a 6'5" woman??

I would love to be 6'5" but my grandmother on my mother side is like 5'6" no one knows how my mother got that tall

ressessive genes, they pop out here and there.

we don't know about dad's bio-parents except that they were scandinavian, don't even know if we're talking Norwegian or Swedish or Danish, but we're trying to find out. But with viking background, that height could come from there.

But my cousin is also a skinny 6'3", so it could come somewhere back in mom's line too.

doesn't matter if you got the 6'5" gene, as long as you got the "big teddybear" gene, that's the good one!!
