Have You Ever Bathed with Your Snake?

Just curious. I have strange thoughts. And if you did, was it a good experience? Or did you get pooped on?

Re: Have You Ever Bathed with Your Snake?

I have bathed snakes to help remove mites, stuck sheds and relieve constipation.

Nope. Straight up, honest question. I've seen some people in a kiddy pool with their snake on YouTube. I just wonder if anyone here has bathed with their snake.

In my opinion, kiddy pool is one thing. Bathing with a snake is a whole new level of weird

I'd be afraid the experience would give me a complex

Part of me is really weirded out but the other part wants to buy a kiddy pool. I dont want to die knowing I could have swam with my snake

Huh. I would've thought a shower might freak them out with all that water pouring down.

I talked to a friend about it on FB. We decided there was nothing inheritly bad about bathing with a snake as long as respect for the snake was given. She said if her corn snake enjoyed baths she might don a bathing suit for the event but due to a fear of being exposed to salmonella and less so of the weirdness of the act itself.

My biggest fear would be improper water temp for the snake.

Re: Have You Ever Bathed with Your Snake?

What's the point though? I don't understand why anyone would want to bathe with a snake...

For companionship! Help with stuck sheds while simultaneously enjoying the water together. Get your snake clean while you get clean too. Why handle a snake? Is there an inherent reason to handle a snake? Nope. It's just for our enjoyment and perhaps the snake may be content with it too.

Re: Have You Ever Bathed with Your Snake?

I totally missed the word "with" when I made my post, originally. But I have, not intentionally, taken a bath with my snake, when I helped my 16' Albino Burm remove a stuck shed in the bath tub. He loved the shower running on him.
