Birds for my boa

Hi everybody, I'd like to change my boa's diet a bit, just to be sure she gets all that she needs. Some say they feed on small reptiles and even fishes, personally I just saw them eating birds in the wild... what kind of local bird could I use?
I heard they appreciate a lot quails and chickens but they told me this isn't the right period for hatchlings (she's too young for an adult at the moment)

You could definitely use small quail or chickens. But I would rotate between that and rats/mice to keep it varied since young birds are higher in fat content than young rats and mice.

You could try to find button quail for her, button quail stay extremely small at only around the size of a newly hatched chicken chick although with a ton more feathers. They are easy to breed in my experience and also quite lovely. I plan on rotating birds, mice, and rats when my Columbian rainbow boa is big enough.
