Re: Christmas additions
The Gaboon viper is so beautiful!!!!!!! I am insanely jealous right now. They are seriously my favourite venomous snakes. I personally am too much of a wimp to own anything venomous. GORGEOUS snakes though!

Re: Christmas additions
Thanks Jerry. I'm really thrilled to be finally able to keep Bitis. They are such impressive creatures! Hopefully there will be baby Gabbys in a year or so.

Re: Christmas additions
Gaboons have really intricate patterns that allow them to hide among the dappled light on the forest floor. As crazy as they look, when you see one hunkered down in leaf litter they really disappear!
Rhino vipers are even brighter, often with shades of yellow, red and vibrant blue. It never ceases to amaze me what evolution has done with snakes!
That being said, there is a fair amount of variation in color intensity, levels of pink and purple, and clarity of pattern among CBB Gaboons and rhinos. My friend that I got the female from is very selective about his snakes, so she's got particularly nice hues and speckling. She's a very vocal girl, but pretty calm.

Re: Christmas additions
I'm not scared of venomous animals but I'm too nervous to own one if that makes any sense. I guess you can say if a mistake happens, I don't want to die over it lol.
