New Brooks King!!!
I was at petco today buying some mice for my ball (They don't carry rats small enough) and I was talking with a reptile rep as she was feeding (A very cute) veiled Chameleon. I was looking at snake and she asked me if I was comfortable with snake. I told her I was fairly comfortable with them and she asked if I wanted to see a brooks king snake they had marked down by 50%. It's a female (Sexed right in front of me), Aprox 10 months old, and for $50? A deal I couldn't refuse! She's really feisty... Like... Striked me twice (got my first snake bite today, btw) I'll post pics a little later when she calms down... And I named her Florence!

They've had her for 3 months and no one's adopted her... I just adore her! And being bit doesn't hurt as much as I thought it would... Though, she is a bit small..

Not quite sure if I'm there quite yet, lol... Did get my first snake hook today though! Hopefully in a few months she'll be a lot easier to handle. And I've read all the petco horror stories, but the people at my regular petco seemed very knowledgable (Both of the people in the reptiles/fish dept are snake owners and one is a breeder)

They mark down kingsnakes 50% in every petco in my area. (3 or 4 different petcos). When I asked them why, its because of their attitude. Nobody going into petco wants a snake that tries to eat their finger, so thats probably why its been there a few months.
