Man that snake is striking. How big do they get? Good luck with the feeding issues.
I sense a pattern...River...Serenity...you must be a Firefly fan

I like the black saddle on her head. Will she grow up to remain that dark red?

You guessed it! If you knew some of the other snakes' names, you'd know for sure! Our Mandarin ratsnake pair are Inara and Malcolm and our BRB female is Zoë, just waiting to find her a good Wash before completing that pair. And we have the perfect Jayne, except that it's unsexed right now and my husband doesn't want to name it that if it's not a male.
Started up the Firefly theme with Serenity, so her future mate isn't named in the same theme.
They get to around 3 to 4 feet generally. They usually mature fast and are mostly full grown at 2 years. Serenity had been in shed but was out and about last night shedding and I was a bit taken aback by the size difference, knew River was smaller but she's actually closer to half the size of Serenity.

Haha awesome! I love Firefly, such a good show. Two of my pets have geeky names, Rodney McKay (my crestie) is from Stargate: Atlantis, and Kahless (my BP) is a Star Trek Klingon name.

Mostly. Will probably lighten a little bit with age but coxi usually retain their color and patterns well.

Re: River - New Thai Bamboo Ratsnake Girl
Lovely creature. Hope you can get the hairy mice issue straightened out. Be quite the pain in the arse shaving all those mice before meal time.

Worst case I'm sure someone some where sells bald mice. Kinda like the naked cats and mole rats. Could get pricey though.
