What you couldve bought instead....
I have to increase my post count because I'm leaving sunday and won't be sitting home all day. Gone for ten days to the red seaaaaaaa
Anyways, I've spent close to 2600 for tickets and another 2000 on gifts / stuff for family thats harder to get overseas, especially for a good price. And stuff for my son because they won't give my wife a visa and we've been waiting for a year, so I haven't seen my 3 month old son yet :S ANYWAYs
Buying all that stuff I was just thinking about how many cool snakes / geckos/ enclosures I could have made and its driving me nuts hahahahah Does anyone else think like this? 1500 on a laptop.....coulda been a carpondro :/
I did buy this though haha 54" snake for my son!

Ah, as I suspected, why else would anyone make so many unnecessary posts.

Could you elaborate on what you mean by pointless?
@my distant cousin
That situation blows. When I got married it was too hard to get my wife into the states so I moved to Canada. I couldn't imagine not seeing my children for three months. Enjoy your visit and take plenty of condoms. One is enough!

Re: What you couldve bought instead....
I'm always bemoaning the fact that I don't have a leachie gecko and a BRB, and I tell myself that I'm simply not in a financial position to bear the initial cost, so it shouldn't bother me so much. But then I get to thinking about what I've spent, and I have to wonder, did I REALLY need those groceries? Surely I could skip a few meals for awhile. Then I have to question as to whether that's a normal thing to do. (It's not,) but I could sure use a shiny new gecko.

I think of that every time I pay rent, I could get a nice morph but noooo, bills have to be paid and the government has to take my money.
I'd much rather surround myself with animals, reptiles and fish galore!

Take a chill pill? Just for future reference which type of post am I allowed to make a new topic about?
@ Korbin, 1 is enough for now I agree. I started my paperwork back in June and its taking quite some time. And lots of money for plane tickets would be an understatement. :S

LOL . . . I'm in the same boat with getting a BRB. Every time I drink a beer I think its putting me a day away from my BRB.

Re: What you couldve bought instead....
Congrats on your son!!
And I can definitely relate... I think of almost everything I buy in terms of what snake I could have bought with that money. The positive side is it makes me a lot more concious of what I buy. The negative side is that I still spend all that money..... but it's worth it for the snakes. :P Have a fun vacation.
