Question Hello!

Hi just curious can leopard geckos have harnesses/wear harnesses? is there anyway i can make a well fitting harness so if i ever need to take any of my more fearful/hand shy geckos out and about i can knowing he wont run or jump out of my hands can anyone give me some steps of how to make one if possible if not any advice of what i can do instead or any tips of hand taming??

Reptiles dont really get "tame", some come to accept handling without getting too stressed but some are just better left as display animals.

Agreed.

You will not tame them but you can train them. In the past I have bowl trained and pointer trained an iguana.

The sounds of tapping my finger on the side of a glass would make her come running.(looking for foood) With the pointer I started with little snacks on the tip on the pointer and she would follow. Over time she learned to follow the point regardless of if the food was there or not.

Have seen Geckos trained in the same fashion. If it is young you could also try a clicker. Search YouTube a little.
