Aside from prices most areas still have a 2 meter rule so technically you could lose them once they get over that size. Mind you if you register it and keep it on your property chances are you will be fine. I spoke with my local Humane Society about the bylaws where I live. I would suggest to anyone in Canada thinking of getting a giant to be sure to register it if it's legal where you live and be sure to be on a first name basis with your local HS. And please if giants are not legal at all where you live don't get one. It puts a lot of stress on the rest of the community to prove your only a bad apple and the bunch is still good.
