Aside from prices most areas still have a 2 meter rule so technically you could lose them once they get over that size. Mind you if you register it and keep it on your property chances are you will be fine. I spoke with my local Humane Society about the bylaws where I live. He showed me a picture right on their summer camp brochure with a 3+ meter albino burm being held by a bunch of kids. We laughed. As long as there are bo complaints or stupidity with your snake they are very resonable in Kitchener. I have all of my animals registered with them just incase any of this changes. I would suggest to anyone in Canada thinking of getting a giant to be sure to register it if it's legal where you live and be sure to be on a first name basis with your local HS. And please if giants are not legal at all where you live don't get one. It puts a lot of stress on the rest of the community to prove your only a bad apple and the bunch is still good.
