Help? Ball Python searching about

I've had a ball Python for about 2 months now and never had any problems with feeding . . . in fact I think she's rather greedy lol. However this is the first time after I have fed her that she didn't retreat to her hide to digest. Instead she's searching about the cage from hide to hide then taking a break to rest on a rock before searching again. Her cage humidity fluctuates between 63-68% and her warm side stays at a constant 93 while the cooler side is about 85 so I know the cage husbandry isn't the issue. I have no idea why she is doing this though and it has been a good 8 hours since i've fed her any suggestions?
The rat pup I fed her was only a tiny bit smaller than the widest part and I do mean ONLY a tiny bit. And I only went down because the others were all WAY to big so I got a smaller one to be safe, but honestly I don't think the rat being that much smaller would have made a difference? I still see a lump too it's just as profound. She's 3 months old btw- sorry I didn't mention that before.

When my BP does that, a second rat ends it, and he goes back into his hide.

Re: Help? Ball Python searching about

i don't feed any of my snakes in the enclosures i use a basic petco feeding cage.
so if she wants it shell strike if she doesn't just leave the snake with the pup for awhile and if she doesn't want it. wait another week.

everyone has there own way though, my bp is unpredictable eater while my cornsnake eats every week and then wants more!

anyways my bp likes to explore after feeding as well sometimes

Hmm? I do move her out of the enclosure though, she has an entirely different cage just for feeding

Don't. She's fine where she is.

Feed in the enclosure. A seperate feeding tank is a waste of time and effort.
The snake is hunting. Feed it more. Time to up your prey size.
