Peter Parker
This is parker. My V. Albigularis Microstictus. He is 9 months old, give or take. Finally got a good shot of his size. He grows like a weed. 5-7" a month.
Feeding on 2 rats a day, plus about 10-15 night crawlers and the odd day gets silverside fish.
The enclosure is a week away from openin up the full enclosure for him (8x4x4 ish). Then the black throat will have a 10x5x6 enclosure for himself.

Re: Peter Parker
To increase heat if I need to. The lights are in the shape of a triangle, with the two, I get 130-145 on the rock, was more of a fail safe for winter if I have issues.
Also was designed for a juvenile, he's coming out the small size in a week or so, and I'll be redoing the lighting and whole tank for an adult now

Re: Peter Parker
Thank you, he is almost done shedding so ill get some better pictures up soon.
As far as his attitude, the hissing and whipping has decreased to once in a blue moon. Though I don't really bother him unless I'm feeding him. Lately I've been able to get a back rub while he eats, and when he jumps out for food, I can pick him up and put him back with ease.
I still have a lot of trust to gain with him, and he has trust to gain with me :P

Re: Peter Parker
Got some cool shots, skin is coming off and I'm proud of my big man. He looks great. And I'm so close to giving him more space, a few more days
This is the "oh you've come to feed me" dash.
My favourite. He looks so proud and noble lol
I'd like to get a measurement on him soon, maybe tomorrow.

Re: Peter Parker
Nice shots, though for some reason I like the two pics at the top of the thread the best.

Re: Peter Parker
Finally past the point of hissing and fear of biting with the white throat now, man does it feel good, 7 months of patience and tong feeding, I'm confident he will not bite me unless I really back him into a corner.
He tried to come out of the tank today to explore, and I let him out where I was comfortable, and lifted him up back in with no signs of aggression.
"Hands off" is truly hands on in the long term application.
