Re: Does anybody have experience with salt water?

No randy i meant doing water changes was a pain! LOL
Not you, you're only a tiny pain =P

And as for the rest of you, morelliaddict, seriously just lost any respect i had for you dude. Rude.
Wildside, i got the impression you took it as a joke..I don't believe you were trying to be rude. But if you were, i'm super disappointed!

I have a fear of ants, which is a weird thing. *shrug*
don't judge peeps.

I'm afraid of fish too. That's a reasonable fear just like any other one.

Re: Does anybody have experience with salt water?

Just to clarify, a fear and a phobia are two different things.

A fear is a reasonable emotional response to a dangerous situation or thing. For example, it is typically reasonable to be fearful of a large fire, or of encountering a bear in the woods. The same person would be fine using their gas-powered stove or viewing bears from a safe distance in a zoo.

A phobia is a psychological fearful reaction to something. Some might say phobias are irrational, but in that person's mind, the phobia is perfectly rational. Physical reactions can vary from loud exclamations to utter hysterics. The object (or situation) in question could be as mundane as having a blanket thrown over one's head (the person may associate with suffocation or smothering) or a small harmless animal (a type hard to relate to...usually non-mammalian).

Anyway, back to regular scheduled programming...so reef tanks, huh?

Re: Does anybody have experience with salt water?

Myself, I have become VERY disappointed in the juvenile behaviour lately by several people.

I would expect such posts from a poorly raised 16 year old, but NOT adults.

I for one love the opportunity to insert a funny picture, do it with tact and consideration, we have no problem.

barelybreathing got the information she asked for, so I'm putting my foot down on the ramblings and closing this.
