6-8 foot python?

Are there any pythons that get to around 6-8 feet that is docile and overall good for a beginner? Thanks

Ball pythons I believe are very docile and only get around 8ft

I'd say almost any Carpet Python would do. White Lipped Pythons are also cool, I've been considering getting one.

No. Ball pythons rarely exceed 5ft. Most males max out around 4ft.

I'd say carpets would be the best in that range, especially for beginners.

I was thinking of a carpet python as well. Which carpet pythons get around the size I want? Because I heard they have many different subspecies, which is really confusing to a beginner.

Jungle carpets are the pretty yellow ones.
Irian Jayas look the same as jungles but a bit more orange to them.
There's also the big red snake... Bredlis, in that size.

But pretty much any carpet will hit that size... the IJs being abit smaller than 6 foot (around 5 foot).

Any of the carpets will do really... just a matter of which one you like the look of... though some of the coastals will get up to 9-10 feet.
