Been going to Rens for 20 years. One just opened near me in Aberfoyle a few years back. Been using the one on Oakville forever.
They carry a product made by Nepco called Alpha and Beta Chip. $13 for a 2.5 cu.ft. compressed bag.
Cheap, awesome and awesome. Did I mention it's awesome?
It's awesome stuff.

Yup thats the one. Gotta laugh when you find stuff like this and compare it to the high priced stuff. Its the same crap in an different bag. Wish I knew about it sooner than I did. Would have saved a lot. Did anyone mention this stuff is awesome ??

thanks for all the help... i am currently using paper towel for my hatchlings, and ill be using aspen once they get to there juvi/adult tubs... i found some yesterday at walmart for 2.99 for a smaller compressed bag. still cheaper then my pet stores...
