Unhappy Please help... I don't know what to do!!

Hi, I'm new. Thanks for looking at my thread. It means a lot!

I bought a green tree python today. He's in a 20 gallon tank. I'm going to move him soon into a square tank, suitable for their habitat.

I have a branch thing so he can hang out it, which is what he's been doing. I have the Temperature around 85 right now... I have a heat pad on the OUTSIDE, not the bottom..it's on the back, near the branch. I put my hand in the cage, and it is giving off heat. WIthout my heat lamp it was only like 70 degrees.. I added a 60 walt bulb with a lamp, and it's 85.

The humidity is around 55-60... it NEEDS to be 80-90 or she WILL die. She's in a breeder tank, so there are a lot of wholes in the top....

Thoughts? Please help! thanks so much!

Also... if you have time

I have a uromastyx.. Is some spinach, lettuce and beats ok? I think they are beats...it's white middle and red around. I'll feed a meal worm (spelled wrong) once a month. Is that all he needs? Food wise?

You can cover the top ventilation until you achieve appropriate humidity level. I keep my guy at 70-80% with an increase to 90% during shed cycles while allowing it to dry out in between the misting.

EDIT: You can also increase the humidity with a bigger water bowl!

Seal the tank as much as possible and until you can get it into a more suitable tank spray the tank as soon as it gets as low as 60%.

We have ours in a 4ftx2ftx2ft melamine enclosure and can get away with spraying only once every 3 days without the humidity dropping too low.

I would feed him some superworms (like 3-5) a few times a week. That's in addition to the vegetables.
