You dont need a gym, I've never worked out at a gym for any significant time. I work out at home (granted ive invested some $$ into proper equipment) but if you just want basic fitness goals all you need is a body and motivation.

Its all about motivation. Most people dont have it, many are willing to pay for it (my job, haha). The thing with being healthy is you have to commit to it, you cant do it for a few weeks then feel good about yourself and go back to old habits, its a way of life not something you do on the side, sadly. And many of the people who put the time and effort in make mistakes that really contradict what they're trying to do. it really does take up a lot of time, more than most realize.

I don't have the self disciplined needed to do it on my own. I need someone to kick my butt. I also fail at working out at home because every time I get into working out I see something I need to clean or an animal that could use some time.
