Help me choose which one!!!
OK, my choices are:
A male pastel
1.jpg
A male mohave
IMG_5888.jpg
A male spider
6307k4e_19.jpg
or a normal 100% het genetic stripe female.
The pastel is from a kijiji ad on the net, the baby spider from a rescue and the other two are from a very reputable breeder. pics are of actual animals for sale.
what do you guys think??

Re: Help me choose which one!!!
I mean, I'd snap up that mojave in a hot second, but I'm pretty partial to understated morphs. But I suppose he looks flawless either way, huh?

Re: Help me choose which one!!!
he is beautiful.
I think I have decided against the pastel. And the female het for now.
so it's down to either the rescue spider baby or the mojave from a great breeder

Re: Help me choose which one!!!
Do you want them for breeding plans? If so, go with the one that best aligns with your breeding plans in the future. Is it just a pet? Then go with whichever best fits what you like aesthetically, and what makes the most sense within your budget. Any of them would be great additions to a collection.

1) yes I will probably breed B/P's in the future, but right now I am focusing on my corn projects. However any future breeding plans I have for B/P's would be piebalds and super bee's?? (not sure if that is the right name) I haven't finished researching B/P genetics to see exactly what I want to create in the future for sure except that I do want to do high white piebalds and soemthing else that is higher end (I like the bees)
I can afford to buy any of the above listed snakes. $200 cash in pocket.
The spider is $170
The mojave is $200
the pastel is $120

Re: Help me choose which one!!!
If you're looking to make a bumble bee, then you would need a pastel and a spider, so get one of those and not the mojave. If you're interested in mojave-carrying morphs, go with that. Have you played around on World of Ball Pythons yet? It had a huge morph list and a genetic morph wizard.

Re: Help me choose which one!!!
No, I haven't, but now I intend to. I love playing on the corn calculator, so I expect I will enjoy playing on the morph-wizzard.
could you list some mojave carrying morphs?? Then I can take a look and see if that is a direction I want to go.
Also I take it that pastels are typically cheaper in price than spiders, so grabbing up the male spider and finding a female pastel may be the way to go for bumble bees??

Albino mojave
Banana mojave
Axanthic mojave
Axanthic pastave
"Boom ball" (Mojave Sulfur Pastel Pinstripe)
Blue Eyed Luecistic (Butter mojave)
Cinnamon mojave pastel spider
Mojave pastel phantom
...the list is pretty extensive; those are just some that come to mind. All of them are on World of Ball Pythons.

Sure. It doesn't matter which you buy as male or female.

I am not a BP guy but if the choice was mine, I would go with the Spider.

Re: Help me choose which one!!!
I vote spider because they are within your price range and they are definitly one of MY favorite snakes. That spider looks really nice and I think the price is good. A pastel isn't hard to find for 100$ to 120$ so you can easily wait to get that when you actually start breeding. It all also depends on you personal preference. We can sit here all day list off the ones we would take but it is all in the end up to you and up to what you are doing in the future + what you like and what you want to keep as a pet/breeding snake.

Re: Help me choose which one!!!
true enough, but I enjoy hearing other's opinions, and Allesia is a fountain of knowledge when it comes to B/P's.
Check out the "my first B/P (and another soon) thread to see what I actually picked up!!
