Finding Bigfoot

Has anyone else watched Finding Bigfoot on Animal Planet? I love the show, I think it's hilarious. My girlfriend and I can't agree on weather or not the cast is full of actors, or people who actually believe in bigfoot.

Thoughts on the show or its legitimacy?

Re: Finding Bigfoot

I haven't seen the show but a buddy of mine is obsessed with Bigfoot. He thinks it's an escaped ape of some sort from the pirate era. He wants to win the lottery to fund a zeppelin (blimp, whatever) fitted with infrared to hunt BF down.

I'm dubious of the "reality" in any reality show though just on general principal.

Re: Finding Bigfoot

I don't watch tv, but I have a friend who goes on bi-anual big foot hunts. I've gone once, it was pretty intense.

Re: Finding Bigfoot

My fiancee works on a number or 'reality' shows. So far she hasnt found one yet that is anything even close to reality. They are all very scripted and acted, with many, many takes for each scene. I would be surprised if this one wasnt the same.

But it's on animal planet, who claims it to be real. Could that give the show more credibility or not so much?

Re: Finding Bigfoot

The last time I watched Animal Planet was when Steve Irwin was still alive.

I think it's all a joke I always wonder why they don't set up live feed cameras at areas of sightings, etc. Or why when someone sees it, they don't follow it or something. IDK. But I bet it would be lots of fun to go on a hunt anyway The whole thing reminds me a lot about the Blair Witch Project

they have set up a fake deer as bait, and they even had a live monkey in a cage brought to the woods to draw a squach in.

i don't think the crew has spotted something they thought could be a squach yet, have they?!

Re: Finding Bigfoot

It was so much fun! We didn't see any signs of big foot, but we saw a cougar. Scary as heck.

Re: Finding Bigfoot

i don't think big foots true but.....

i have an open enough mind to think, there may be things out there that us humans have not discovered and live outwith of our knowledge

i would however love big foot to be discovered one day

they say it can turn invisible or go out of phase regards human sight (how cool would that be)

who really knows what lives up the himalaya's,so yeti's may be out there

cheers shaun

I have to agree with Eli here, I dont think Animal Planet is a sign of much credibility anymore. Look closely at a lot of their animal footage, and even that is often recreated in some basement studio somewhere!

Re: Finding Bigfoot

I avoid Animal Planet these days, much preferring to watch Nat Geo WILD instead
